Test report Scarpa Drago Climbing Shoe

Key features

Strong downturn for precise foot placements

Rubber coverage provides excellent grip during toehooks

Comfortable fit despite tight performance sizing

Ideal for overhangs and volume boulders

Flexible shoe with a very direct feel

Chiara’s experience

The Drago impressed me with its friction capabilities and flexibility. After a short break‑in period, it fit my foot like a sock. Especially during toehooks, the rubber practically sticks to the rock – it’s hard to imagine better. Heelhooks also hold exceptionally well, even though the shoe only has a single Velcro strap. I use it on overhangs, volume problems and friction footholds – it adapts perfectly. My street shoe size is 39.5, but I wear the Drago in 37.5 for optimal performance. For me, the Drago is a true high‑end weapon, equally effective in competitions and on sandstone.

Excerpt from the test report in the Bergzeit Magazine
