Spire Tech Ice Axe

<p data-start="140" data-end="671">The Spire Tech from DMM is a modern, versatile ice axe for demanding winter use - whether for classic mountaineering, ski touring or mixed terrain. The combination of a lightweight, anodized aluminium shaft and sturdy steel alloy on the pick, shovel and tip combines low weight with high functionality. The curved shaft shape improves power in hard snow or firn and offers sufficient clearance when climbing steps and daggering in steeper terrain.</p> <p data-start="673" data-end="1173">Thanks to the grippy milled grooves in the lower part of the shaft, the Spire Tech feels secure in the hand even when wet or wearing gloves. Large openings on the pick and spike allow easy attachment with a leash or carabiner - for maximum safety in demanding passages. The shovel and pick have milled edges and penetrate frozen ground efficiently, while the ergonomically shaped pick head offers a comfortable grip when walking or supporting.</p> <p data-start="1175" data-end="1480">The Spire Tech is EN-certified to type 1 and is available in three lengths, allowing you to adapt it perfectly to your tour planning and body size.
