Description

The Taiss Pro Belay IN Hoodie jacket from Mammut is made for situations where maximum insulation is required - whether you're belaying at a belay station, bivouacking in the open air or on the last descent in frosty winds. This cleverly designed insulated jacket can be worn over a hard shell and combines outstanding thermal performance with technical details for alpine use.

The high-quality Dry Down filling with 850 cuin fill power offers reliable heat retention even in wet conditions, while synthetic high-loft insulation provides additional layers of protection in particularly exposed and moisture-prone areas - such as the shoulders, forearms and neck. The boxwall construction prevents cold bridges and ensures even heat distribution, even under robust conditions.

The lightweight outer material made from Pertex® Quantum Pro with Diamond Fuse technology is robust, abrasion-resistant and has a PFC-free DWR water-repellent finish. This keeps out wind and rain. Large zippers, non-slip pull tabs and a cleverly placed press stud on the insulated flap make it easy to use - even when wearing gloves. Two external, climbing harness-friendly pockets, a chest pocket and two elasticated inside pockets provide sufficient storage space for gloves, a head torch or energy bars.

Despite its high insulation performance, the jacket can be stowed away compactly in the pack sack provided - ready for demanding climbs in cold alpine conditions.
