<p>The Hoka Men's Mafate X is aimed at trail runners who don't want to compromise on rough terrain and long distances. From ultra trails to non-technical trails and downhill, it combines advanced cushioning, propulsion and traction in a powerful overall package.</p> <p>At the core of the midsole is a responsive PEBA layer embedded in an ultra-lightweight EVA support structure. This dual-density construction delivers a particularly dynamic ride with pronounced rebound. Additional propulsion is provided by a split carbon fiber plate that returns energy at impact without losing flexibility. </p> <p>The soft-rolling MetaRocker system was specifically designed for fluid movements, while the Active Foot Frame in the heel area ensures stable support - even on long distances with tired legs. </p> <p>The woven upper material is particularly lightweight, breathable and fast-drying. Thanks to the patented Dynamic-Vamp construction, it adapts flexibly to the movements of the foot. A protective toe cap, the pre-shaped TPU heel cup and a tongue construction with lateral protection ensure a secure fit and excellent protection on the trail. </p> <p>Under the shoe, the Vibram&reg; Megagrip outsole with 3.5 mm lugs and zonal tread guarantees reliable traction - even on wet roots, scree or alpine trails. </p> <p>The Mafate X is made for all those who tackle long, demanding trails and rely on maximum comfort, effective propulsion and secure grip - a real titan for demanding distances.</p>
