Odlo: Born in and inspired by the North

Odlo was founded in 1946 by its namesake, Odd Roar Lofterød (Odlo for short) in Oslo. From its beginnings as a manufacturer of elastic, warmth-regulating cross-country skiing and speed skating suits, Odlo soon developed into a global supplier of technical and versatile sportswear for all seasons. Odlo made its debut as an outfitter at the 1964 Winter Olympics, and to this day, the company still kits out the Swiss cross-country and biathlon teams, as well as the Odlo X-Alpi team. “There's more out there” – true to this motto, Odlo has been developing its products in the heart of the Swiss Alps since moving there in 1986. As pioneers in layer systems, Odlo has always followed the approach: “from the skin out”. From thermal underwear to mid-layers such as fleece sweaters and Odlo rain jackets, all three layers are designed to give you the most comfortable fit and excellent weather protection. Odlo's functional clothing covers many sports for men and women, so you can find everything you need for your best mountain and winter sports experience. Whether it's anti-odor technology or the temperature control system, thanks to which you can wear the right functional underwear at any outside temperature and intensity of the sport, Odlo stands for innovation. Odlo: at home in all seasons

Over the years, the Odlo range has grown steadily and covers various activities. In summer, the focus is very much on trail running, hiking, and cycling, while in winter, the focus is on Nordic disciplines such as cross-country skiing and ski touring. The range has also been gradually expanded. For a long time, rain jackets for running, insulated jackets for walking and touring, technical mid-layers, accessories such as hats, gloves by Odlo, and headbands have been an integral part of the range. And in everything it does, Odlo finds clever, perfectly tailored, detailed solutions for each sport to meet its own standards. Sport-oriented, slim fit for top performance

The close focus on outdoor sports is also evident in the cuts. As befits a base layer, the functional underwear is cut close to the body. But the running, cycling, cross-country skiing, or ski touring clothing is also characterized by a sporty, slim, well-fitting cut. On the other hand, hiking clothing and lifestyle ranges are cut a little looser but still active. A great focus on sustainability and human rights

Odlo takes its responsibility for people and the environment seriously. The company has set itself the goal of converting all its production facilities to renewable energy sources by 2030. Under the motto “Go for Green,” Odlo is working to reduce its CO2 emissions and increase the use of environmentally friendly materials. For example, recycled materials are used extensively across the entire product range. 63% of the products are manufactured in Europe (Portugal and Romania) and the Middle East, 50% of which are manufactured in the company's factories. The remaining 37% of the products are manufactured in Asia. All producers have signed the Odlo Code of Conduct – a strict code of behavior. In addition, Odlo has Leader status with the Fair Wear Foundation, which guarantees fair working conditions.
